How do I run Stability Matrix/ Stable Diffusion on RX 7600 XT?

I can't take it anymore. I regret so much buying this GPU. I did try use Ubuntu somehow, tried to download ROCm, then troubled with boot black screen, solved somehow, and ComfyUI simply doesn't generate, and Stable Diffusion simply isn't running

Please just tell me how to use SD normally on this useless dead brick of a GPU.

AMD you are the worst, give me my money back please

I have had problems with AMD cards but only at the installation stage. This was because I was using a pretty old card, the Vega 56/64. There are instructions for Windows too I believe but it will definitely be easier on Linux. As for running Stable Diffusion, there were no code changes I need to make as torch.device("cuda") works perfectly as it would on an Nvidia GPU. The other problem is probably some other software/program not supported yet that's only available on nvidia, but you probably won't encounter those problems.

If Stable Diffusion is not working well with your GPU, you might want to try optimized versions of it. Some versions (like AUTOMATIC1111 for Stable Diffusion) have better compatibility and performance with AMD GPUs, and there are also optimizations and third-party solutions that might help.

I totally get your frustration. To get Stable Diffusion working on the RX 7600 XT, make sure you're using the latest ROCm drivers, as AMD cards can be tricky with machine learning tasks. If you’re facing the black screen on boot, double-check your kernel version for ROCm. For ComfyUI, reinstalling it might help with dependencies. If things still aren't working, try using WSL with the right GPU drivers. Hopefully, that gets you back on track!
