I have spent a whole day trying to install a new Radeon Frontier Edition card in a brand new Windows (1709) Pro setup.

No matter what version I run (Adrenalin 18.2.1 and 17.12.2), the installer just either hangs or causes the card to eventually go into overdrive and it sounds

like a jet engine. What am I missing?

I have DDU installed and have used that along with the AMD uninstall utility. I've removed the AMD drivers folder, etc etc.

Can it be this hard?

From the driver downloads,

Doesn't list 18.2.1 for the card, might pay to read the user guides(in the links) first.
