Today, we are announcing that the new AMD Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1 driver is now available, enhancing Radeon™ Pro professional graphics with stability, performance, security features, simplicity, and industry-leading innovation.
Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1 accelerates product design workflows with a host of features designed to boost designer’s and engineer’s productivity, including performance improvements in select applications and over 320 “Day Zero” ISV application certifications. The new features include support for workstation wireless VR, improved image quality using AMD Radeon™ Pro Image Boost, expanded functionality for AMD Remote Workstation, and “One Driver” support coming soon for the AMD Radeon™ VII.
Exceptional Workstation Application Performance
Just in time for SOLIDWORKS® World 2019, when tested with the SOLIDWORKS® Performance Test 2019 and using AMD Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1, AMD Radeon™ Pro graphics has up to 46% better “rendering” performance 1 in SOLIDWORKS® 2019 when compared versus the competition. Additionally, year-over-year performance has increased – the 19.Q1 driver is up to 33% faster in SPECviewperf® 13 medical-02 than last year’s AMD Radeon™ Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q1. 6
Over 320 “Day Zero” ISV Application Certifications
Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1 launches with over 320 “Day Zero” ISV application certifications for Radeon™ Pro graphics cards including for Autodesk 3ds Max®, Autodesk Inventor®, Autodesk Maya®, Autodesk® VRED™ Professional, Bentley Systems Microstation®, GRAPHISOFT ARCHICAD®, SideFX® Houdini™, SIEMENS NX™, and SIEMENS Solid Edge®. In fact, when you compare our previous 18.Q4 enterprise driver with NVIDIA’s previous Quadro® Optimal Driver for Enterprise (ODE) 411.81, AMD has approximately 40% more driver certifications in select applications. 7
Ready for Workstation Wireless VR Visualization
Radeon™ Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1 supports workstation wireless VR on AMD Radeon™ VR Ready Creator graphics cards 8, ready for HTC’s upcoming VIVE Focus™ Plus standalone 6DoF VR headset 9. With this new workstation wireless VR capability, designers can visualize and interact with their creations on their workstation PC with the HTC VIVE Focus™ Plus and its included 6DoF controllers.
AMD Radeon™ Pro Image Boost Accelerates Decision Making
This new feature is the professional version of our Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) technology tuned for use with professional applications and allows Radeon™ Pro graphics to output at a higher resolution (up to 5K) and then scale down to the lower native resolution of your display, improving sharpness and clarity. Radeon™ Pro Image Boost allows you to present complex and detailed designs at the highest image quality no matter the resolution of the display being used, accelerating product design decision making.

- A VR-capable GPU is required for VR:
AMD Radeon™ VR Ready Creator Products are select AMD Radeon™ Pro and AMD FirePro™ GPUs that meet or exceed the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive recommended specifications for video cards/GPUs. Other hardware (including CPU) and system requirements recommended by Oculus Rift or HTC Vive should also be met in order to operate the applicable HMDs as intended. As VR technology, HMDs and other VR hardware and software evolve and/or become available, these criteria may change without notice. PC/System manufacturers may vary configurations, yielding different VR results/performance. Check with your PC or system manufacturer to confirm VR capabilities. GD-101 The HTC VIVE Focus™ Plus will be available starting in Q2 2019. Workstation wireless VR functionality requires the installation of the Radeon ReLive for VR application on the VR headset.
