    Radeon Settings Version 16.7.3 crashes

I've installed the latest driver (16.7.3) and now RadeonSettings crashes randomly.

I've attached a screen shot describing the issue.

      • AMD Radeon (TM) R9 390 Series

      • Desktop Computer
      • Operating System Windows 7 64bit Service Pack 1 (All the latest updates from windows)
      • Radeon Software Version 16.7.3
      • Display Device BenQ  XL2430T connected via DisplayPort
      • CPU - Intel i5-6600k
      • Power Supply 700W
      • RAM 8GB
        • Re: Radeon Settings Version 16.7.3 crashes

Heyyo, I have the same question... 16.7.3 won't stop crashing and no matter what I try? I can't revert to 16.7.2!

I tried Display Driver Uninstaller, AMD Uninstaller Utility and regular AMD's Uninstaller. All three fail to delete the C:\Program Files\AMD and C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD  folders and when I end task and delete the .exe's within and reboot and then nuke the .dll's once they're no longer in use? I got a bunch of QT5 errors once I tried installing 16.7.2 again so I did DDU again in safe mode and then redownloaded 16.7.2 from the net to ensure I didn't accidentally redownload the wrong driver and surely enough it still shows in the AMD Crimson Driver that 16.7.3 is installed! My games won't stop crashing!!!!

Am I doomed to reinstalling Windows 10 64bit?

Sigh I'll try 16.7.1 driver but I seriously bet as soon as I install it that it'll say 16.7.3 is installed again....

UPDATE! Apparently rolling back to 16.7.1 worked fine. Meh I'll just stay here until a driver comes out that doesn't crash a lot. Don't wanna risk upgrading drivers for meow... so anyone having problems rolling back to 16.7.2? Just try rolling back to 16.7.1.

I'd like you to try a system clean up and a fresh installation of 16.7.3, to see if it resolves Radeon Settings crashing.

            1. Run the Windows self check tool to check scan and automatically repair any corrupt files found in Windows. There is a guide on how to do it here.  What you need to do is run an elevated command prompt (elevated means run it as administrator) and type SFC /SCANNOW. This will generate a statement indicating if errors were found the Operating system and if they were fixable.

            2. Make sure you have installed Microsfot NetFramework and Visual C++ 2013. These should be installed already, but they can become damaged, need repairing or reinstalling.

            3. Update Windows. Install all available critical, recommended and optional updates. Often Netframework and Visual C are included in the recommended or optional updates Windows provides. Windows should always be fully up to date before installing our drivers!

            4. Use DDU to sweep the system of AMD drivers in safe mode.

            5. Install the latest Crimson 16.7.3 drivers once the above is completed and check to see if the issue is resolved.
