15.7.1 AMD R9280x - NO support for overlay?
I have software that worked fine on w8.1 and doesnt work now. Developer says it requires overlay support.
Driver 15.10 Beta OVERLAY NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why support is not responding
(R290, Windows 10)
What is the name of this software, what is it used for and what operating system are you referring to ?
Operating system - Windows 10.
Video Card - R290
The name of the program uvfPlayer (this is the player for viewing secure video).
Now the player says that the video card does not support overlay.
Although windows 8.1 with your latest drivers it works without problems.
I used to verify Overlay support program that in the screenshot above. And the result is absolutely the same on any driver for windows 10 (Overlay enabled - False).
Strange question about operating system ) Topic says "windows 10....". I have R280x. The same software, used for viewing protected video. I saw some topics from developers here, who asks about d3d9 overlay support for their projects.

Can smb tell me if this is a bug, not yet implemented feature or I have incorrect settings?
Well, great support from AMD... I suppose that is 1 of the reasons of that financial 'success' last years. New drivers will be released 'soon' as well?
Fully endorse the words alest. None of the drivers ( 15.7.1 or Beta 15.8) does not support Overlay. Please return the support as soon as possible. This is extremely important for my work.
I've opened a ticket with Engineering on this issue.
Hello. With regret I hasten to inform that the new driver (Radeon Software Crimson Edition) still does not support Overlay.
The ticket is open with engineering, however, I did not indicate that the fix would be included in the Crimson driver.
Oh, no offense, please. I only stated a fact. We will wait. And once again thanks for the help.
No problem !
Hello, just purchased a new computer (HP Beats Special Edition Notebook - 15-p393ur) for our karaoke business and having the same issue. I have worked for nearly a week trying to resolve this and have been losing money nearly everyday as a result of this issue. We need the overlay to work for OTS AV DJ. I have installed the most recent hot fix, updated the BIOS, updated Windows, and all of HP's updates. When I run DirectX Diagnostics, I still show that D3D9 is not supported. I see that the last post was from November, can we expect any resolution in the near future or has a patch already been made available and if so please post a link? Our business cannot function without this update so please advise!
