Hello AMD team.
I was install windows 10 and i tryed hd4850 driver but not install.
Future hd 4850 driver for Windows 10?
Same Problem with 4870 and Windows 10 - Oversan - Black edges - not able to install Catalyst 12 oder 13
The 4xxx series cards are not supported on Windows 10 as they do not meet the minimum requirements. Windows 10, through Windows Update, will install a very basic graphics driver that will allow very basic (web browsing) functions. Your best bet is to stay with Windows 7. There will be no HD 4850 drivers for Windows 10.
I'm sorry but that is not true. Why wouldn't Windows 10 support a Directx 10.1 card? Nvidia has Windows 10 drivers for its Directx 10 products (GTX 280). AMD just doesn't want to spend the time to support products older than 5 years.
I have two HD4870 in Crossfire and had to buy another videocard to run Windows 10. I promise I will never buy another AMD/ATI card because of their lack of support for their products.

Windows 8.1 uses the WDDM 1.3 driver model. Windows 8 uses WDDM 1.2.
HD 4000 and lower products are NOT supported under Windows 8.1 and will not be supported under Windows 10.
Of course, Windows 10 might load a basic graphics adapter driver for you but that's for basic Windows functions.
BINGO! They're not supported because they refuse to make the drivers for them. That does not mean they cannot make drivers for them, it means they won't.
You can stop with all the replies.
I'm not trying to be rude but you're clearly what I would like to call a "fanboy". So when I say AMD is spinning you, you probably won't believe me So I say again, an Nvidia GTX 280 supports WDDM 1.1 and came out during the same time period as the HD4870 yet it has Windows 10 drivers. Let me be perfectly clear, just because Windows 10 has WDDM 2.0 does not mean it does not support older WDDM standards. All you have to do is look at Windows 10's system requirements. As far as I remember it only requires a graphics card that supports DIrectX 9 with WDDM drivers. It says nothing about 1.2 or higher.
This is AMD's excuse for them not to put in the time to make drivers. It can be done. They just don't want to do it.
This isn't much of a solution but you can download the Windows 8 version of your drivers, extract them to C:\AMD, go to the device manager and have Windows manual search for updated drivers in your C:\AMD folder. They will work but you will not get the benefits of the CCC, however.
DOes it really work ?
The Radeon HD 4xxx series products were moved to the Legacy support model in October 2013. This means that there would no longer be any further driver development for those products.
The cards DO NOT meet Windows 10 hardware requirements and hence there will be no drivers available from AMD for those products.
If you wish to use those products under Windows 10, you are free to use the inbox driver that comes with Windows 10.
To put things in perspective, the HD4000 series was introduced in 2008 and since then there have been 5 NEW GENERATIONS OF PRODUCTS :
HD5000 seriesHD6000 seriesHD7000 series
Radeon Rx 200 seriesRadeon Rx 300 series
Since the HD4000 series was launched, we have had 4 NEW OPERATING SYSTEMS
i dont believe is so hard to just make the legacy CCC to run under windows 10. Becouse the problem is not whit the dysplay drivers....
