    Sapphire HD6950 supports 2560 x 1080 over HDMI.

      Hey all,

I just picked up a LG 29UM57 Ultra wide 21:9 2560 x 1080 monitor that I intended on using via one of the display ports on my Sapphire Radeon HD6950. Unfortunately, I had a big "OOOPS!" moment when I went to plug the monitor into the card and the LG didn't have a display port like I thought but only 2 HDMI ports . So I said "what the hell", let me see what it looks like at 1080p. Well, much to my surprise... it defaulted to 2560 x 1080! I was under the assumption that the HDMI port on the 6900 series only puts out 1920 x 1200. It makes me wonder if my card will do 4K off the DP1.2 ports? I hear some 6950/70s have the ability to reach into the 7000 series as far as resolution goes. Here's some pics and screens and the box. What do you think?

      Thanks in advance!

      Rob
