Over the years I have built numerous Desktop computers for myself my wife and various friends and family just for the enjoyment.. My present machine is on its third hardware upgrade. giving excellent service for about 5 years since. that time. I use always ASUS Motherboards and AMD CPU's Presently. My present computer is not a particularly powerful but was designed to suit my needs.M5A99x EVO R2.0. AMD FX6100. 8 gb Corsair XMS3RAM. Radion 7700 graphic card. I do not want to replace my present kit but have suddenly gone black screen with no Post beep on checking I found the CPU warning light illuminated. replaced the CPU with a tested FX 8350. still not working logically if it was a motherboard problem then the MB warning light would be on. it is not. I have checked on the web and found this is a common problem but no definitive cure can be found. any help would be good if it is the motherboard then I will replace with a Sabertooth I like the AM3+ format and with my effective upgrade to FX8350 Black edition. it will end off just being a cheap upgrade.
