I am Great fan of AMD and I continue to support AMD personally. Here is my brief background of PC build.
I got my first Intel PC at the age of 16 had no knowledge of computer hardware. Then I started with the great AMD Athlon XP 2000 series with little knowledge of computer hardware by this time.
Then I built a my first PC all from scratch and all by myself with AMD Athlon 64 3+ GHz with 256MB I definitely don't remember the make Graphics card a big investment at age of 24. This was my long lasting PC had a graphics card upgrade with ATi series I don't remember the name though.
Around 2010 it was time to upgrade the !GB graphics card again with ASUS H6670 ATi (got more gaming freek) series this was big upgrade considering my budget but it was time to upgrade PC not just GC. As a AMD crazy I was looking for a good with but within the budget so I gambled on AMD A8-3800 with F1A75-V PRO ASUS Motherboard, honestly I wasn't impressed with it and can't go for new build again until I get rid of the A series. I found my friend who was interested in buying this and great I sold it. By this time it was year 2013.
In 2013 I brought AMD’s latest bulldozer FX series. AMD 8350 FX processor with ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 motherboard and a MSI AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2GB GDDR GC along with it. This was my biggest spend on computer build(my wife was furious since she thinks all of these are waste of money ). That didn’t stop me has months passed I replaced the motherboard with ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0, GC ASUS AMD R9280X-DC2T-3GD5, CUP with Corsair H100i liquid cooler, Case with Corsair C70 Vengeance military Green and from 8GB to 16GB RAM. Later I converted the R9280x to liquid cooling with Corsair H60, NGXT Kraken G10 GPU cooler support kit. This PC is still running on windows 10 now but I don’t want give this away just since it has little value now after spending a ton on it.
The present 2019, after a long gap of 5 years I started my new AMD built which is in progress a hard tubing custom liquid cooling is my new AMD Ryzen ThreadRipper 2950X, AMD-ASUS ROG-STRIX-RXVEGA56-O8G GC, Corsair RGB Vengeance PRO 32GB RAM (white), ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E GAMING motherboard, EKWB CPU monoblock & GPU block, Corsair Crystal x570 (white) case (my favourite but wrong choice for my build), XSPC 360MM & 240MM Rads (white). Corsair 850X PSU (white), Corsair LL series RGB 120mm 6 fans, Cablemod vertical GPU kit, Barrow D5 pump with tubing and fittings. I wish I can share pictures.
I spent a fortune already on this with yet to buy few things and it costs more with shipping adding 20% to the total spend since these are’t easily available in the country I am residing now and had to ship all from US, this is my highest spending I still can’t believe I spent this amount of money for a PC and I never dreamt about this in my past life that I will every do this which. I felt it will be impossible. Gratitude to my wife she is ok with it. Honestly I was always behind AMD I really not sure why I just love AMD no matter what people say.
Long Live AMD and Love AMD.
