Biography
Getting on in years now and have retired from work. I'm into premier league football in a big way (soccer to our friends from the USA). I support Manchester United FC, through the good times and the bad. I also like music, anything from Motown, Santana, Alternative ( London Grammar) right through the whole gamut to Eric Clapton, the Traveling Wilburys, Pink Floyd to Classical/Opera. I stream a lot of music on my desktop PC which I built myself. The build:- CPU :- AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Mobo :- MSI MEG X570S ACE MAX Storage:- Samsung NVMe 980 Pro M.2 1TB plus an ADATA 1TB XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade M.2 NVMe SSD for Backup. An assortment of USB /SSD adapters and NVMe M.2 Enclosures for USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 GB/s. Additional Storage : - A Samsung T7 Portable SSD - 1 TB - USB 3.2 Gen.2 External SSD Indigo Blue (MU-PC1T0H/WW) That about covers that build. I'm more of an enthusiast, not a gamer. I tend to build a new desktop roughly every 2 years or so. It can be an expensive habit. I also dabble in RAID 10 arrays using 4 x Samsung 980 Pro NVMe M.2 1TB. That was quite something when I ran a benchmark using Crystal Disk 8.0.4. The read/write speeds were fast, extremely fast.
