The Sponsor of this Event is Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., 2485 Augustine Drive, Santa Clara, CA, 95054 USA (“AMD” or “Sponsor”).
- Eligibility:
The AMD Red Team March V-LAN Party (the “Event”) is open only to persons who are 18 or older (or at least the minimum age of majority in their place of residence, whichever is greater) as of the start of the Registration Period [defined below], and who are registered attendees of the AMD Red Team March V-LAN Party (“Participant(s)”). Entries received from individuals located or residing in Belarus, Burma, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Sudan, Venezuela, and/or any country prohibited by law or export restrictions or otherwise, regardless of legal residency, will be disqualified. Employees of AMD, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and agents, and the immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings, domestic partner, husband or wife) of each such employee, together with those with whom such employees are domiciled, are ineligible. AMD reserves the right to disqualify any Participant if AMD determines, in its sole discretion, that the Participant’s participation in the Event would violate local law or cause damage to the reputation of AMD and/or any other party. Participants may be required to submit proof of their eligibility.
- Registration:
The registration period begins Thursday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM Central Time (“CT”) and ends on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM CT (“Registration Period”). To register, Participants must reply to the blog during the Registration Period.
- Agreement to Official Rules:
Participation in the Event constitutes the Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of AMD, which are final and binding. These Official Event Rules will be posted here.
- Participation Requirements:
To participate in the Event, the Participant must:
- Have an internet connection – Connection fees may apply and payment of any such fees is the responsibility of the Participant.
- Access or download and install Discord (https://discordapp.com/). The Participant must agree to the Discord license.
- Create or have an account with Twitch.TV (http://www.twitch.tv/). The Participant will need to agree to the Twitch.TV license and/or user guidelines.
- Own game(s) to be played. The Participant must hold a valid license for each game played.
AMD will not provide technical support for games and/or network connectivity issues. AMD will not provide servers for multi-player games that require it. AMD does not endorse or warranty the content of any third-party sites or software required to be installed on the Participant’s computer to participate in the Event. Any damage including without limitation loss of files or computer failure for any reason during the Event is not the responsibility of AMD and AMD disclaims all liability related thereto.
- Conduct:
- No piracy -
- Using pirated software or warez is strictly forbidden and if detected will result in Participant’s immediate removal from the Event. You agree to indemnify AMD for any and all loss or damage AMD may incur or suffer as a result of Participant using pirated software or warez.
- No pornography -
- Accessing or displaying any form of pornography while at the Event will lead to immediate removal from the Event. AMD has no tolerance for any form of pornography or inappropriate material.
- No cheating -
- Any cheating as described by a game’s “no-cheating policy” will be enforced during the entire Event. Examples of cheating include but are not limited to the sharing and implementation of cheat codes, exploits, debug versions, game kernels or libraries, and/or excessive pinging of network devices or computers to purposely slow network bandwidth.
- No inappropriate communication -
- If the Participant would not post something in the chat in front of the police, their mother, or their spouse, it should not be done at the event. If uncertain regarding whether something is permitted, ask the moderator.
- Sportsmanship and Courtesy -
- All Participants should maintain a sportsmanlike attitude throughout the Event; this is a party, not a competition.
- Use good manners. Behave in a respectful, courteous manner to hosts and fellow gamers.
- Games Ratings -
- Remember that certain games being played may have a "mature" ESRB rating. Select games accordingly.
Event officials including AMD employees, contractors, Twitch moderators, and Admins execute and manage all aspects of the Event. They may, at their sole discretion, ban and disqualify any Participant(s) who fail to follow the Official Rules, who acts in a disruptive fashion, or who intends to abuse, annoy, threaten, or harass any other person(s) during the Event.
- Publicity:
Except as set forth herein, all information submitted by entrants in the Event will be treated according to AMD’s Privacy Policy. Except where prohibited, participation in the Event constitutes the Participant’s consent to AMD’s use of the Participant’s name likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, and Province for promotional purposes in any media or format, worldwide, without further payment or consideration including, but not limited to, posting winner lists online. This Event will be broadcast live using AMD’s Twitch TV channel. Portions of this Event may be rebroadcast by AMD in the future or used for other promotional purposes.
