IBS is disabled Ryzen 5 3600, Windows, TUF B450

Hello,

When trying to profile my application on a windows 10 system with a ryzen 5 3600 cpu I am told that ibs is disabled in my BIOS.

As there is no IBS option on the bios I have contacted my motherboard vendor (ASUS TUF-B450) and they told me that IBS is enabled by default on matisse cpu.

Should I press my vendor for more information or is there a problem on uProf's side of things ?

Hi @Tackwin ,

In the command prompt, please run the below command and let us know the output you get:

C:\> cd C:\Program Files\AMD\AMDuProf\bin

C:\Program Files\AMD\AMDuProf\bin> AMDuProfCLI.exe info --system

This can show if IBS enabled/disabled in the processor.

I think it shows that I don't have IBS enabled which would contradict what ASUS is telling me.

PS: the site is bugging a lot for me telling me that there is an error when replying or posting but (sometimes ?) it sends the response/post anyway. So I might reply with duplicate.

Hi @Tackwin ,

Looks like Hyper-V is enabled on your system. Please disable Hyper-V on your system, and then try profiling using uProf. Also share the 'info --system' after disabling Hyper-V.
