Hyper-V Live Migration between AMD EPYC and AMD Bulldozer Processors
Looking at replacing one node of our Windows Cluster with a new AMD EPYC processor based server.
The cluster currently has four AMD Opteron (Bulldozer) processor based servers. Trying to confirm that I will be able to perform Hyper-V live migrations between the new EPYC and the old AMD Opteron processors. I did find an AMD document on movement between AMD EPYC and Intel Processors - https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/vm-migration-guide.pdf, but this has no mention of older AMD processors
Cheers

What OS is the existing Hyper-V solution running at and is the new EPYC server going to have the same running OS?
Looks like you can do it with VMware according to this post, so it may work with Hyper-V as long as you "dumb down" the EPYC process in Hyper-V.
