Hello,
I got a suggestion that I should post my problem here to get more exposure.
I have two physical servers, server 1 has an AMD Epyc 7272 CPU and Windows 2019 installed, server 2 has an AMD Epyc 9224 CPU and Windows 2022 installed.
Both servers are running Hyper-V and I'm trying to live migrate a machine from server 1 to server 2. I get an error stating that "the hardware on the destination computer is not compatible with the hardware requirements of this virtual machine. Error code '32784' "
Hyper-V configuration version on server 1 and the Virtual Machine is 9.0 so I don't see an issue there.
Hyper-V versions are upgraded per OS limitation so they are at max versions (server 1 with Windows 2019-Hyper V version 10.0.17763.1; server 2 with Windows 2022-Hyper V version 10.020348.1)
I can move the machine while it is offline without any problems.
Bios is upgraded on both servers, network configuration is the same.
Server1 has DDR4 memory while server2 has DDR5 memory but I don't really see the issue there.
Are there any known issues between the two architectures that do not allow live migration between machines ?
Any info would be appreciated.
