Red Team!

We’re going to be at CNE Gaming Garage from August 19th through the 21st in Hall B of the Enercare Center.  It’s the opening weekend of the biggest expo in Toronto, Canada.

Powered by AMD, this year’s Gaming Garage will include esports tournaments, Minecraft free-play, the AMD Kids Zone, Raffles, Pinball, Card Games, Tech Demos, Free-play Area, Kids Zone, and more.

Speaking of “more”, thanks to our Canadian colleagues, we’ve secured a booth space we call the “Red Team Lounge”. The lounge is for registered members of the Red Team Community only, a place where we can meet, mingle, and play!

Here are a few of the activities we’re planning to do at the event:

  • MSI PC Build:
    • With the help of our volunteer(s), @blazek, and thanks to MSI, we’re going to build a gaming rig during the after-hours. While building a PC is fun, it can be a little tricky during peak hours, so we’re going to do it when it’s quiet, and we have plenty of time to check our work (assembling, cable-management, posting, etc.), take pictures, record a short video. Here are the parts:

Motherboard: MEG X570S ACE MAX Monitor: OPTIX G32CQ4 PSU: MPG A850GF

  • Race Time:
    • Simply put, we’ll have an Xbox loaded with a few racing games. Red Team members who beat me or @blazek  in a to-be-determined race type win something red.
  • Raffle Tickets with a splash of Red:
    • Red Team members will get an extra ticket for the raffles happening at the show!
  • Graphics Card Sales:
    • We’ve done this at PAX East, and in our forums. Simply put, attendees can buy our graphics cards at the event!
  • Meet, Greet, and Relax:
    • The very purpose of the lounge is to meet fellow Red Team Community members in person. We’ll talk tech, gaming, building PCs, modding, etc. So if you are planning to attend, come by to say hello!

In addition, I’m plotting a few surprises for not only the attendees but also the folks at home. As you may recall, our goal is to extend some of the in-person event's activities to those who can’t attend. So stay tuned as I will take pictures and post updates throughout the weekend!
