Im using houdini 19.383 with rpr 18.383 and i am able to get a basic render and material setup with RPR the only problem is light intensity doesn't update and the light visibility settings don't work. The light updates with movement around the object just not intensity/exposure updates. I also get an error "device 0 not available" not exactly sure what that means. I don't get any errors besides that and I have all the nodes available to me, i tried the automatic install and the manual by setting my houdini.env file paths.
