ProRender for Blender installer "cannot check system compatibility"

I am trying to install Radeon ProRender for Blender on my computer. I have an AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 Graphics card, Windows 10 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 7 2700U 2.2 GHz

Whenever I go through the installer, after agreeing to the terms and conditions, it goes to this page. I tried turning off the firewall and that did nothing, and I can't seem to figure out why this wouldn't be working. Any help is appreciated.

I figured out how to fix this problem, but now I am having trouble because pressing the "Register" button on one of the next pages freezes up the installer and doesn't open any sort of web page. I have internet access and I can't figure out why this would happen.
