Should I be running AMD Dual-Core Optimizer on my 8 core system

I just noticed that the Dual-Core optimizer is running on my computer. But my computer has an 8 core processor. Should I be running this utility

You shouldn't even have it. The Dual Core Optimizer was built for Windows XP, which has long since lapsed out of life. Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 don't need it.
