If I'm wrong someone please correct me.
What is preventing AMD from disabling SMT (simultaneous multi-threading) on a certain number of cores calling those "performance cores", and enabling 4 thread smt per core on a couple cores and calling those "efficiency threads"?
Intel seems to be doing the exact opposite here. I think this 3 tier SMT system could be the next big change to AMD. Possibly throw a dual or quad core ARM CPU on the motherboard chipset for efficient I/O handing 🤷
