Motherboard : arous b650m ice ax
ram:2x24gb Hynix m-die
power supply :300w
when the CPU’s temperature is above 70 , a lot of white dot start to blink on screen .
plz help me to analyse the reason.
70°C is a normal CPU temperature, both chips are rated for up to 95°C tJMax temp.
Are you using the included box Spire/Stealth cooler? What application are you using to get that temp reading?
Are you also using the IGP for graphics? What are the specs on your system memory? I see you commented in this other thread, have you tried disabling XMP/EXPO?
Do the graphic anomalies appear in games, graphic benchmarks, 2D applications or all? Is it strictly related to just the temperature, or does it only appear under certain tasks?
i'm using the igpu of the 8700g
system ram run at 6000mts by manualing oc set
the white dot blinks sfter playing Civilization VI for a while ,the temperature rise up,even stop playing games the white dot still exsit.
The overclocked memory can be the cause, let it default to SPD speed and timings.
This AMD current thread about the same issue with White Dots and how the User was able to fix it: https://community.amd.com/t5/processors/8700g-artefacts-white-dots-on-linux/m-p/697173#M61065
The Solution the User found for his processor from above thread:
EDIT: I see that you are the second User in that thread also. The OP fix didn't work for your processor?
If not I would open a AMD SUPPORT - WARRANTY ticket and see if they suggest you RMA your processor from here: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html
Seems to be a issue with the 8000 series G processors and Motherboard BIOS and RAM XMP/EXPO.
ygwd111, even four exclamation marks are not going to help. I am really surprised you are able to even run with only 300 Watt power supply. List all your parts. Is this a laptop or desktop? Do you do a fresh install of your OS after each processor change? If not, you should, including formatting your C: disk. Post a screenshot of Ryzen Master (RM) running Cinebench R24 Multicore. Images of only RM. John.
300W is not enough for 8700g winth pbo off ?
i'd run aida64 cpu test and furmark gpu test at the same time ,the system worked well.
Enjoy, John.
