The compatibility of a GPU has less to do with the CPU but more with the motherboard and power supply unit. Nowadays all CPUs offer PCIE x1, x4, x8 and x16. It is only the matter of PCIE generation. For instance if you have a CPU that can offer PCIE Gen3, your GPU with PCIE Gen4 will operate on PCIE Gen3.

Obviously your motherboard plays a big role in terms of PCIE support (generation and speed). Also the power supply unit of your PC should be sufficient to feed the GPU, if required.

See the specs of your APU below (it is not a mobile CPU though)

AMD Ryzen™ 5 3400G Drivers

I believe, he may wanted to say if its a good pair rather than compatible, like bottlenecking.

In that regard, the 3060 does get bottlenecked but if you plan a computer upgrade down the road, i don't see any problem on getting it now.

However, that power supply, it could be your weak point if its too old.

Good Luck
