Typical RMA Timeline
I have opened an RMA for a Ryzen 9 3950x. Today I was asked for pics of the top and bottom of the processor along with a receipt. All of which I have provided. Just wondering what I should expect next and maybe when.
Thanks

They should send you a label to mail it back to them and will usually ship a replacement as soon as you mail it.
If they think user error has damaged the part they may ask you to send it for testing but that probably isn't worth the time for large companies.
Covid-19 is likely to be slowing everything down.
My last RMA took 5 days total from my request to getting a replacement.

that actually really fast for an RMA. I sent a bad board back to MSi that died after 6 months. Took 7 weeks to get back and when I did that board was DOA. Still waiting on the 3rd, two weeks so far.

Alright. I wonder when I'll get my replacement then. Fedex should drop off
the faulty chip in Miami today.
Thanks

Hopefully they will send status updates and a tracking number when shipped.
