I have an Threadripper Pro 3945WX and the BIOS allows for NUMA mode settings. My previous computer having Dual CPUs had NUMA settings, configuring it could increase PCIe bandwidth and memory performance.
The new computers BIOS has four settings for NUMA modes… Auto, NS1, NS2, NS4. My testing has showed that NS2 or NS4 increased the NVMe drive and memory performance almost 10%.
My question is which is preferable, NS2 or NS4 for Windows 10 or 11 when it arrives.
