AMD Ryzen R5 1600 overclocked to 3.8ghz
Asus X470-F Strix
Corsair 2x8GB Vengeance CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
Windows 10
I overclocked my CPU AMD Ryzen R5 1600 before two weeks, here is the settings I entered in Asus X470-F Strix:
- Ai Tweaker
Performance bias -> none
CPU core ratio - 38
VDDCR CPU voltage -> offset mode
VDDCR CPU offset voltage -> minus six step voltage
- Digi VRM
VDDCR CPU load line calibration -> level 1 - with auto mode VDCCR voltage was a little higher.
- Advanced - AMD CBS
Core perfomance boost -> disable
Global C-state control -> enabled
Tested OC with:
Asus Real Bench 2.5.6
1 x 4 hours
1 x 6 hours
1 x 7 hours
= 17 hours
Prime95 - Small FFTs
1 x 3 hours
1 x 1 hour
= 4 hours
OCCT
3 x 1 hour - Large set data with extreme option on
1 x 1 hour - Small data set with steady option on
= 4 hours
Overall = 25 hours without error or freeze. HwInfo64 0 WHEA errors. Can I consider this OC stable? Today Epic Games will give free Star Wars Battlefront 2 which uses Frostbite engine like Battlefield games and that engine should be excellent for testing OC stability so before that I want to set evetyhing ready for that final test.
I need help with Ryzen DRAM calculator, I tryed couple of days ago to put some settings in BIOS and as a result of that I needed to shorten two pins (clear RTC RAM jumper) with a screwdriver because I got black screen.
Can someone please tell or edit pictures what numbers to put in these field in BIOS? Here is the picture of Thaiphoon burner, BIOS settings and Ryzen DRAM calculator. I marked values on pictures with yellow color in BIOS which I see in Ryzen DRAM calculator:
Timings 1
Timings 2
Timings 3
Timings 4
Timings 5

Tryed without Ryzen DRAM calculator to set RAM to 3200mhz. In BIOS I changed Ai overclock tuner from auto to DOCP.
One hour of Asus Real Bench test - passed. Tested in Hci memtest, 12 open window (one per thread), every memtest window has assigned 1050mb of RAM memory. Maybe I should set it to 1150mb but I think this should be also good (89% overall memory load)? Lowest window had 1250% coverage, highest 1580% coverage - 0 errors.
SoC voltage is on auto, but it seems high? In Ryzen Master it is 1,1V:
Tested it also on Division 2 in in-game benchmark and there is no difference in FPS (1080p Ultra, 2133mhz vs 3200mhz), probably game doesn't depends lot on RAM speed.
I remember when Ryzen 1st gen was out that some people even after couple of months and new BIOS updates had problems to set memory on default XMP/DOCP settings, my seems to pass this without problem, without any additional thinkering. I think that settings in Ryzen DRAM calculator should work from first try on my board, so please help me, explain me what so set in BIOS DRAM timings...
edit:
To make it easy for you here are settings from BIOS that I don't know what value to enter from Ryzen DRAM calculator:
DRAM CAS# latency - tCL?
DRAM RAS# PRE time - tRP?
DRAM RAS# ACT time - tRAS?

help me out guys :smileyindifferent: so you need to connect this values from BIOS:
DRAM CAS# latency - tCL?
DRAM RAS# PRE time - tRP?
DRAM RAS# ACT time - tRAS?

And one more question: After I activated DOCP 3200mhz (loose timings) in BIOS and tested it two times with Hci memory test (one time min coverage 1250%, second time min 1500% - all ok), I transfered lots of data from external HDD to my HDD and installed couple of games. Logical seemed to me that everything should be normal even if my DOCP setting has loose timings. So no data corruption or other errors with loose timings (picture below)?

Used it for a last couple of days on this loose timings (DOCP 3200mhz without any tinkering):
no problems or errors.
Can someone finally help me with this? Is there a big difference with loose timings and tighten timings? Here is the picture with loose timings from test in Ryzen DRAM calculator:
