ryzen 7800x3d random temp spikes that can go to 75c

hi there, just wondering if this is normal by simply just browsing in mozilla to set an example at one point it went to 75c for literally nothing, stood there for a moment then went back to 50/55c, why does this happen ? even when you leave the pc at idle it can go to 60 and perhaps 65c for literally no reason, then goes back to "normal" again.

and of course one can notice these things because the fans start to ramp up like a jet.

Thanks, angeh, this looks fine. All eight cores are running near the maximum frequency and throttling is just beginning (yellow temperature meter). Enjoy, John.

Temperature spikes like the ones you’re experiencing with your Ryzen 7800X3D can occur due to various reasons, including background processes, automatic updates, or system checks that momentarily increase CPU load. However, reaching 75°C while performing light tasks like browsing is somewhat unusual, especially with a capable cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE.

angeh, most likely this is Windows and is quite normal. If you are concerned, please post a screenshot f Ryzen Master (RM) while running Cinebench R24 multicore. Thanks and enjoy, John.

current config in bios just to give context:

pbo auto

thermal throttling set to manual at 85c

curve optimizer negative on all cores to -25

Vcore SoC on tweaking section at 1.18v

on windows: amd power slider-overlay-Better Battery option.
