Ryzen 7 5700x3d runs at a low frequency after hibernation.

Good afternoon/evening to all. After I accidentally clicked on sleep mode instead of shutting down the computer. After I activated the computer from sleep mode, the computer began to lag heavily, not responding to mouse clicks on shutdown. After that, I turned off the computer by pressing the shutdown button on the case, and restarted it. Now my computer boots slower than usual (before in 1 minute, now 5-10 minutes), but this is not the main thing, now instead of the 4100GHz on which the processor was running, for some reason they began to work at a frequency of 3200Ghz with an x32 multiplier. But since this processor does not overclock (according to the multiplier exactly), firstly, the processor does not even reach a consumption of 70 watts, usually in games an average of 50-60, now this is the peak value, on average 65/70 watts maximum, tested in tests and games, secondly, processor performance has dropped, apparently the reduced frequency. If you can probably get rid of a long download by simply reinstalling Windows (I have version 11), then I do not know what to do with the frequency. Who has encountered this, tell me what to do.P.S I took the battery out of the motherboard, tried to remove the processor, it only gave a black screen, why I had to pull out the battery again to reset the bios.

Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B450 Plus II(bios version - 4604)

CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x3d

MEM : 32 GB

Alexinho1995, please do a Clear CMOS, post ALL your parts and a screenshot of Ryzen Master (RM) Advanced view. John.

Okay, I'll do it, but not now, because I'm not at home. Give me some time, please

Does it start??

go to energy setting in windows, disable hibernation and fastboot. Than reboot (don’t shutdown W11).. check boot-time, check C:\ for hibernation file. If its there delete/rename and shutdown.
If speeds are better, re-enable fastboot and if you need hibernation. Though W11 does an S0 powerstate on shutdown. It’s not really off, and with fastboot enabled, the result is that you never actually reboot with hibernation and shutting-down.

windows updates may have been applied, but saved in mem (through hibernation-file) some of the older files are still loaded (simplified, but you’ll get that that will get you some weird results.

so hope it works for you!

Good luck and let us know

Thank you so much, it helped, now the computer starts up as before. It remains to solve the problem with the frequency. But thanks for the advice anyway.

Your welcome and thanks for the feedback!!

Frequency issue: set to high performance profile in windows energy settings..

I dont think it will help long term but if it helps on that run thats something MSI should know

The latest BIOS version 4622 had a fix from Asus for this motherboard. Therefore, perform the BIOS update and this problem will be fixed.

I updated it, but unfortunately, the frequency problem has not gone away.

This problem is very strange. Have you tried resetting the BIOS settings with a Clear CMOS?

Test with a current Linux distribution in live mode, without installing it on the disk. Test with Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS or 24.10, in live mode. When booting, press CTRL + ALT + T; install flatpak with the command below:

sudo apt install flatpak

Install the Mission Center application:

flatpak install flathub io.missioncenter.MissionCenter

Then press SUPER (Win) + A to open the Gnome Shell app grid and locate the Mission Center application.

Monitor the CPU frequencies and see if the performance drops or remains stable. If there are no drops in performance or frequency, the problem may be in Windows. A bug. Try updating using Windows Update to fix this error.

If the problem persists in Ubuntu, I recommend that you check the heat dissipation of the air cooler or water cooler. There may be a problem with the contact between the air cooler and the CPU or with the water cooler pump or with the contact between the CPU and its pump. Change the thermal paste if possible.

I have already taken out the CMOS battery several times, everything remained the same and did not change. The processor was also removed for a couple of minutes and inserted again, but a black screen appeared, and I had to reset the BIOS again, only after that it worked.
