ryzen 7 2700 My cpu temp seems odd anyone know why,is it bug in recording of temps

newly installed with new cooler with pre installed thermal paste. cpu cooler on firm.  strange readings.  has anyone got a guess is it reading wrong figures?

Hi, same issue here with 2600X on MSI X470 Gaming Plus, set on auto, cooled by Noctua U12S. PTC (CPU) 95C and in HWMONITOR goes from 80-115C reading under 'package ( node 0 )'2600x high temp PTC.jpg maybe higher.

This is the official answer I've got from AMD support team:

Please be informed that PTC is the reference temperature point for thermal throttle for the processor. It is not the processor temperature but the temperature limits up to which processor can functionally stable.You need to worry regarding the processor temperature as its absolutely normal. You can simply disregard the readings.
