Hello. I tried searching for this and I didn't see anything.. my bad if it has been discussed before.
My question is, what kind of temps would I be looking at if I put a 120mm AIO on it. I'm interested because I have an ID_Cooling IS-55 (in an SFF case) and it will at times ramp up to 100% fan speeds. Which gets a little bit too loud for my taste.
Thanks!
it is difficult to determine the exact temperatures that a Ryzen 5 7600x would reach with a 120mm AIO cooler. However, it is generally recommended to use a larger AIO cooler or air cooler for this processor, as it has a high TDP of 105W. A 120mm AIO cooler may not be sufficient to cool this processor, especially if it is being used for demanding applications such as gaming or video editing.
It is recommended to use a 240mm or 360mm AIO cooler or a high-end air cooler for the Ryzen 5 7600x. These coolers are designed to handle the high TDP of this processor and can provide better cooling performance than a 120mm AIO cooler. Additionally, using a larger cooler may help to reduce fan noise, as the fans can run at lower speeds while still providing adequate cooling.
You are pushing people to spend more money when it is not needed.
Hey mate, glad you asked,
Your CPU TDP is quite low, you should not get over 65 degrees under 100% workload. I doubt it you need watercooling for this CPU, you can go with budget 40$ dual fan cooler and you will be all right! If you still fancy your watercooling, go to the bios or any other tool which allows you to adjust fan speed and keep 60% fan speed up to 65-70 degrees, and 100% over 75-80 degrees. If this still does not work for you i suggest you undervolt your CPU, undervolt will drop another 10-15 degrees which will allow you to drop fan speed further. Generally speaking you must be OK with fan speed I suggested above. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
With the cooler I have, it definitely hits 95c at 100% load. and that's with the ID_Cooling IS-55 and the thicker, Phanteks T30-120 Fan on it. https://imgur.com/a/VjIf4p3
I have undervolted it and it does help a little. but the temps are still around mid 80's during gaming and still 95c full stress load
I'd like a larger AIO, but most SFF cases I was looking at only support 120mm AIO's (I want a small footprint vertical case.)
SFF cases are not friendly, maybe if you have 2x120 locations, a custom loop with soft tubing plus 2 120 radiators.
Just a thought...
