I have recently built a computer based on a Ryzen 5 7600 and an Asus B650M Plus motherboard.  For some unknown reasons, it appears there is a noise around the CPU when system is idle or on low load. At first I thought it was my CPU cooler fan but the thing is not happening when I put the system under full load using benchmark applications.

The sound is cyclic, every 8-10 seconds, and it sounds like a disk access. The thing is I have only a NVME drive, so that could not be that. It is not a grinding noise like coil whining.

I disabled C state but the problem is still unsolved. I thought I could fix it with manually fixing voltages but I don't know how to do it (and I am afraid to do something wrong and damage my CPU).

Any help regarding this subject is welcome, I am thanking you in advance.

Its VRM coil whine. Nothing to worry about.

Some are more loud than others. O have it too but its so low that its only heard with the side panel open.

Thanks for your reply. At least I know it's safe. But the problem is that's annoying, the case is close to me and I hear it constantly, even with the side panel on. 

I did some more testing and it appears that the noise is gone when I go over 55% load. My understanding is that there is voltage fluctuations so this is why I wanted to manually set it. I believe it should fix the issue, but maybe it's a wrong direction.
