ryzen 5 5500 on x370

Hi everyone, i'm not having success in booting my aorus ax370 gaming k5 with a new r5 5500, i've already tried both bios version that support the 5500 (f51g AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 and the f51h AMD AGESA V2 1.2.0.8), tried moving around ram sticks, reseating cpu and vga to no avail, i've even restored the bios and repatched it all the way up. No matter what i tried i get no boot at all, the mobo starts with a red cpu led error, then briefly the ram red led comes on and almost istantly goes back to cpu error. I've tried giving it a few minutes as it feels like it's slowingly trying to post (mobo rgb leds turn on after a minute or so) .

Anyone has any suggestion?

I think I'd RMA the CPU at this point unless you can test it on another board.

The R5 5500 worked without problem on my ASROCK x370 Taichi. AGESA V2 1.2.0.7

I read somewhere that not all x370 boards will work with the r5 5500.

My Bad. There were some issues with secure boot. I forget... had to turn it off to boot then back on???

see if anyone else had that problem. Seems like I had to repair the MBR on my primary drive before it would get past POST.
