System Specs:
- Ryzen 5 3600X with a DeepCool GAMMAXX AG400 cooler
- MSI X570-A Pro motherboard
- Radeon R7 250 video card (it's old, but all I have)
- 2x Crucial Ballistix 8GB RAM
I'm getting a lot of WHEA-Logger 18 errors randomly; usually when playing games. It's often APIC ID 5 or 13, which according to CPU-Z is Core 2 Thread 5 or Core 5 Thread 11. I've done a lot of Google-fu and tweaked some things in my BIOS, but they honestly haven't done much good, so now my BIOS is set to optimized defaults with the exception of a setting (the name has slipped my mind) that enables PCI Gen 4 lanes. I've updated my BIOS and system drivers to the latest/greatest.
I've recently seen that this may be a poorly-written error, and it's actually a memory issue and not a CPU issue; so I figured before I continue beating my head against the wall or make do until I can afford a replacement CPU, I'd come here and ask for advice.
Any logs or screenshots are available upon request, obviously.
Thanks in advance for your help!
