I recently got a new processor bought in Digitalife (México e-shop) and i tried to change my processor.
Changed it, and in the moment of booting up... It doesn't boots. RAM gets turned on, cooler starts spinning, but the graphic card and cpu doesn't turn up.
I recently updated my BIOS, im upgrading from a Ryzen 5 3400G.
I have 2 sticks of ram of 8 GB and a RX 6600.
Motherboard is a B450M-DS3H (not V2)
Thanks for the help
Sorry, my english is not too good, and because i fastly redacted this, I recently just realised my grammar errors.
As mentioned above, clear cmos and update if necessary.
Memory does not have to be in QVL-list. It just assures memory is tested to be compatible, but memory sticks most often are. As mentioned above, you can try running just one stick at a time for testing or disable XMP from BIOS to reduce speed and improve compatibility for testing.
One thing which might cause temporary problem are fTPM keys inside CPU. During boot, there should be a message asking about these keys and unless you used BitLocker, basically just reply Y as Yes.
Did you update your BIOS version from which one to at least BIOS Version F62?
You need F62 BIOS Version or newer installed for your Gigabyte Motherboard to recognize and boot with the Ryzen 7 5700X: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-rev-1x/support#support-cpu
Also check to see if the RAM Memory you now have installed is compatible with your 5700X (Vemeer) processor QVL List for RAM: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-rev-1x/support#support-doc
Remove one stick of RAM and just leave one stick of RAM in DIMM Slot A2 and see if it boots up.
Hey! I updated my bios from F41 to F63c.
Update: I checked the RAM compatibility list and my RAM isn't in that list. I will need to update my RAM. Thank you.
Even though your RAM is not listed see if the PC will now boot up with at least one stick of RAM in Dimm Slot A2.
Also check the Ram's manufacturer's Website QVL List to see if it is listed there.
I recommend that you first remove power, pull the CMOS battery (even replace it with a new one since it's a few years old), clear the CMOS by shorting two pins that are on the motherboard, and then put the new CMOS battery back in after about five minutes. When a BIOS update is performed, sometimes it causes issues with previous settings. Now power up again and see if you get a video signal from the video card. You are plugging your monitor cable into the video card, right? Your new CPU does not have integrated graphics like your old one did.
Very good point about the GPU. You are correct that now he needs a GPU card installed since he is replacing his previous APU Processor with a regular Processor without Integrated Graphics.
It is possible that the OP is still connecting his monitor to the Motherboard's Video Output that will be disabled now with the 5700X processor installed.
Im not connecting it directly to motherboard, im connecting it to gpu (that also fans doesn't spin)
It can be probably because i have RAM in Slot A1 and A2 and it should be A2 and B2?
Yes it seems to be standard that A2 & B2 and A1 & B1 are connected for Dual Channel to work.
But A2 & B2 are the first Dimm Slots that needs to be populated first with 2 Sticks of RAM installed.
