Pc crashes before booting the OS

Hello! 

My name is Mark, I'm a computer science student and I built a little home server with an amd ryzen 9 7900, some ssd storage and a decent power supply. We were using it for around a year now, and one of my friends told me that it died randomly and could not be reached. I've tried switching the RAM, SSD, Power supply, even the motherboard ( bought a new one) but nothing seems to work. The pc gets trough the so called boot state, i have ubuntu on it, so it even lets me select if i want to enter repair mode or anything so, but when i select any of the modes, it just reboots. I also tried re-pasting the cpu and remounting the cooler, but that didn't work too. Can this be the cpu, or is there any other possibilities?

I had an issue some time ago after switching out and adding new hardware where my PC just couldn't boot into windows, your issue sounds like it might be somewhat similar? At that point the only way I could make it work was to go into BIOS settings and then just select save changes and exit, without even changing anything. And for some reason my PC would then boot up normally. Just go into BIOS settings upon boot and select save changes and exit without changing anything. And then after a while it just fixed itself and I no longer have to do that when booting up.

Probably a longshot but since your issue sounds somewhat similar perhaps this might work.

Alternatively, have you tried reinstalling the OS?

Hi! 

I tried your solution. Tried with resetting the whole bios. Even changing some minor details. The problem is that even tough i tried switching all part apart from the cpu. The system cant even run an installer drive not even one that just loads up an os without installing, like the pc instantly reboots making me left with the choice of trying to contact the community. I have tried non formatted disks windows ssd s and kinda everything. I think the only option left is either a magician or warranty part change.
