The reason why your Motherboard doesn't boot up with your Ryzen 7 2700x is because your Motherboard doesn't support the 2000 series AMD Processors.
You will need to upgrade your AMD Processor to a 3000 - 5000 series processor. Here is your Asus Motherboard CPU Support list: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-a520m-k/helpdesk_cpu?model2Nam...
If you noticed there are no 2000 series CPU listed. Only 3000 - 5000 series CPUs.

Because both the 2000 & 3000 series AMD processors are compatible with AM4 Motherboards thus either will install on the motherboard socket.
But for the Motherboard to recognize the Ryzen processor it must have a BIOS version installed that will make your Ryzen compatible. Since there are no BIOS versions to install thus your Ryzen will never be recognized and never will boot up.

Hey, Does the power led on the board lights up?
The case fans Spin?
Is there any troubleshooting lights on the board?
Can you get hold of a tiny PC speaker like this?
Check the PSU on another system or vice versa.
Edit: Scrap the above, Elstaci already got your answer.
