Currently, as far as I can tell, everything is cool and I want to keep it that way. I have a Phenom 2 X6 1100t Black Edition CPU, Asus Crosshair V Formula with 990FX chipset, and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1. What I am curious about is how at risk is my CPU and what is the recommended course of action? Considering I hear that Microsoft updates are bricking installations and the firmware fixes cause significant performance loss.
