my A10 7890k is only using 2 cores

dear amd,

I have a A10 7890k and it is only using 2 cores shown in task manager, and logical cores is 4(don't know what that means).

my frames per second in games is also very low. does someone know what i can try?

I already tried to go to msconfig and check the box and set it to 4 cores but when i restart then i got the blue screen and needed to reset my PC.

Kind regards,

Bulldozer derived processors have two, in this case, Steamroller Modules, each composed of two integer and one floating point processor, creating a two module, four integer core, two floating point core processor. As for why it's so slow, most applications were never optimized for the Bulldozer architecture, resulting in essential a slow dual core.

What FPS do you have and what are your thermals like? Alot of these chips were thermal throttling out of the box without the proper coolers.
I know that this was one of the SKU's that hit thermal throttles out of the box, but usually only when the GPU is also enabled.
