Tamd fd3820frw8khkhis chip and MB was given to me to fix/have/donate/ the mb is damaged  but do not know what type of CPU this it. I know it is a  AMD 8 core something.

MB if not up to being plugedin to read CPU.

Since you are in the dark about your computer system parts. Download a small free but very useful program called SPECCY. Run it and it will tell you most of your computer's parts MAKE & MODELs plus BIOS version etc.

You can use this information in the future to Post here at AMD Forum if you should encounter any more problems.
