How do I upgrade my bios for the new ryzen 2nd gen?
I just ordered this mobo
MSI X370 KRAIT GAMING AM4 AMD X370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
And order the new ryzen 2nd gen 2700x and I contacted Newegg support to see if the bios was updated and they told me only the MSI X470mobo’s will it have an updated bios, and I was wondering how to download and install this on the mobo when it comes? A friend told me that you can download the bios on A flash drive, and if there is any videos on how to do this... also is the download for this already available before the ryzen 2700x is out?
thanks

You will need to contact MSI to see if and when they will produce a new BIOS version for the 2nd gen Ryzen processors.
The "Boot Kit" was for the "Raven Ridge" APUs, I have not heard if AMD will be doing a boot kit for the 2nd gen Ryzen processors.

I requested a Boot Kit for the 2700X and was told it wasn't eligible. I am still trying to find out why.

I have followed up on your issue and you should have received an email advising you on the steps to obtain a bootkit.
