I bought a Ryzen 5 5500 processor and a Samsung 980 pci4 hard disk. I have not bought the motherboard yet. I want a solution to run the best performance of both without problems.
honestly any newer mobo should be good, so just do a little research to see which one has features you want and make sure it has a pcix4 Nvme slot?
by pci4 hard disk you meant the new nvme's right?
yes bro i mean 980 bro nvme pci4 its 4th but the razen 5500 is 3thd gen who it will work i dont know
You will need a X570 board with nvme pcie 4.0 support from the chipset.
Unless someone knows of a B550 with 4.0 chipset?
Thank you for your response, my friend. I read online that the B550 motherboard is not suitable because it has the required PCI-4 lines of defense from the IDA processor. The ideal solution seems to be the x570 or x570s
Just so you know it will work, not at full speed but will be at least 3000+
So don't worry for now, then when you upgrade you already have your nvme.
Don't need to trust me do a search on YT for like nvme, 3.0 vs 4.0 and you will see on everyday type of use barely any difference, it's more if you edit videos or work with really super large files, so again don't worry and get the best Mobo you can find with the features you want.
They told me that it will work at full speed if a motherboard that supports PCI-4 is used without the need for a processor, and they recommended that I select a motherboard x570 and not b550. What do you think of this?
I mean yes, as it will set you better for a cpu upgrade in the future, all you would need is to upgrade the cpu
on the mobo.
Do your homework, the advice is good but consider this, am4 is pretty much on the out, the last cpu released for that series was the x3d's should be no more releases.
So IF you will remain on AM4 for a while until you get your money worth and upgrade to a 5800x3d or better in the future then yes go a little higher x570.
But if you see yourself upgrading to AM5 in the near future invest less now so get the only the necessary, as no matter if you stay AMD or go the other route, going to need New all minus nvme, psu and maybe case.
That is something you have to think about.
hope i somehow help you and didn't make it harder for you to decide.
Thank you, my friend. It seems that I will buy the x570 and put the same processor and hard drive on it at the moment, because I have this one available.
If you are good, can mark as solved? : )
