Hello, I am hoping that someone can help with this issue. I recently built a new system around the 7950X3D CPU. This is my first time using an AMD CPU.
I have followed the instructions here (https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-9-7950x3d/5.html) and on the AMD website. However, I have the following problems:
In Device Manager, I only have 7 devices listed and not 8. I have checked and I do not have any unknown devices: https://imgur.com/a/UZSLxxM
Each time I check whether all the AMD drivers are installed, I am always told that the latest version of the 'AMD GPIO Driver (for Promontory)' is not installed, even though I have reinstalled it several times.
I have done all of the following:
Made sure that the BIOS of my motherboard and all drivers are up to date.
Checked that Gaming mode is on in Windows.
Confirmed Game Bar is setup and up to date.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD chipset drivers.
I have confirmed that 'Virtualisation based security', 'AMD 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer' and 'amd3dvcacheUser.exe' are running.
I do not understand what is causing (1) and (2) above. I did a completely fresh install of Windows after installing the CPU.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
