I have been meaning to buy one of the b550 boards which support AMD's latest processors. So my question is, as I will be using one of the newer motherboards which are the b550 boards, not b450, will it support the next series of processors? 
Because I am looking for Cpu upgradability after the 5000 series processors. If It won't then I'll most likely get a b450 board.

While I haven't seen any confirmation of CPU socket support going forward the AM4 socket was only promised to be supported until 2020.

I would work on the assumption that a new socket will be released sometime this year. It would be nice if AMD could confirm if this is the case or not.
