Hi,
I just purchased an MSI Alpha 15 A3DDK
It has a good gpu with AMD RX5500M, but the processor is Ryzen 7 3750H. It is a slow processor compared to intel i7 9750H and it is bottlenecking the graphics card.
The socket is FP5.
Is it possible to upgrade the cpu buying a processor compatible second hand somewhere else? Is it compatible with FP6 socket for the recently released ryzen 4800h?
Thanks in advance, I just cannot receive a refund to give back my alpha 15, and i am stuck now with a medium processor, is there anything i can do to upgrade the laptop?
what game is bottlenecked by the CPU, for the most part that machine should be fine for a wide range of games
Hi
Thanks for reply
According to many reviews and youtube videos that have put the laptop into
benchmark, the general consensus is that the cpu is bottlenecking the gpu
in all or almost all games
People is also advising to purchase other laptop with i7 9750h as even that
with a gtx 1650 gives same or better performance
It is also known that i7 9750h is much better processor than the ryzen 7
3750h
I was wondering if i could upgrade the cpu or change it to a i7 9750h?
Is there anything i can do or am i doomed with this laptop?

Re: CPU RYZEN 7-3750H FP5 SOCKET UPGRADE in Processors
most mobile machines are soldered so you may need to send the machine back and but the more expensive one if possible
Thats the main issue
My supplier will not let me return back the laptop as the return period is
over..
