Connecting to a network crashes my laptop

Hi,

I am a college student and bought my yoga7 laptop some 2 months back and it was working fine, suddenly one day when I went to library the laptop started crashing with a stop_code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. And the system kept turning on and restarting on it's own, I went to my college service center and they told I had some files corrupted they had to format my laptop, it worked fine after that till I went to library again and then the crashes started again. Later the IT person told me that it is the AMD wifi card issue and it is not compatible with library mesh topology network. He tried installing previous driver but it was not available on AMD site.
Can someone please look into it and tell me what can be done. I can't avoid taking my laptop to library.

Contact Lenovo.

Since they mentioned it can be a compatibility issue with your laptop's AMD WiFi card you will need to contact Lenovo Support, as mentioned by @Earnhardt , to see if they have an updated AMD WiFi driver and also contact developers of Library Mesh Topology Network to see if they can explain how it is incompatible.

You can try and open a AMD SUPPORT TICKET to see what they say but if it is incompatible with just one specific network in a school AMD might not put too much effort and resolving the incompatibilities of its WiFi drivers unless it also affects other Wifi networks: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html

As a last resort you can always purchase a USB Wifi adapter and see if it works with your library at school like these best 5 Wifi adapters from this tech site: https://products.bestreviews.com/best-wi-fi-wireless-adapter?cid=650308269&aid=1250146050155575&eid=...

You can always temporarily disable your Laptop's AMD Wifi card and use the USB WiFi adapter if it interferes with your Adapter's Wifi driver.

If both Wifi works without issue at the same time then no need to temporarily disable the AMD Wifi card driver in Device Manager.

VaishnaviBadal, AMD did not have any Wi-Fi Drivers because AMD does not offer Wi-Fi products. John.
