When I start my PC up, It will freeze if left idle within 2 minutes. The strange thing is, is that if I am able to start running a video game, it will keep running as long as the program is running. I have also had it running if I have a youtube video up on firefox but as soon as I close it, it will freeze.
If i get a bsod, the stop code is clock_watchdog_timeout. I have tried everything I could think of to resolve this issue. Fresh windows install, update/uninstall/reinstall drivers, resetting BIOS settings to default, and even tried different RAM sticks. I am not sure what is causing this issue and I am starting to wonder if my cpu is bad. I have not overclocked the cpu at all. The only UEFI settings I changed were fan curve, and XMP profile for RAM. I have since reverted the settings to factory, still having this issue.
