I have an x470 motherboard, but no cpu yet. I need to update my bios to achieve support for upcoming Ryzen cpu's. I can use an Athlon 200GE to update the bios, however, the latest bios requires a chipset driver update. The latest chipset driver required states that it is for Athlon APU support. Can I still update to the latest chipset on the Athlon 200GE, then proceed to update to latest bios.
