can performance be increased?

(briefly)Hi, is it possible to reduce the thickness of the chiplets and the thickness of the cover to a minimum for the sake of performance? (full)Hi, during the production of processors, can AMD release versions of processors in which:

1) The thickness of the processor (CCX, I / O) silicon die after manufacturing is reduced to a reasonable minimum in terms of strength and stability, and the surface is polished.

2) The thickness of the heat distribution cover is reduced to the minimum where the cooling system causes deflection. And this is all for the sake of improving heat transfer and reducing temperatures.

Of course, this will require refinement of the cooling system mountings. But users will not need to remove the processor cover and reduce the excess silicon thickness for extreme overclocking.

Perhaps I do not know something, then explain. But these additional operations require minimal resources and time. At the same time, the possible amount of heat for removal will increase and, accordingly, power consumption at maximum load and, accordingly, frequency (albeit relatively slightly), and it is easier to prevent the heating of the processor silicon crystal, at which its thermal conductivity drops catastrophically.

AMD Engineers knows exactly what specs the Processor's physical shape and construction are made for. AMD have spent billions on producing and manufacturing Processors.

If you try to change one aspect of the processor's hardware then the Engineers would need to find out how that will affect the entire structure of the processor itself. Possibly needing to Re-engineer the entire processor from scratch again. Very expensive.

Possibly reducing the shell will weaken it and cause it to fail in a short time.

But you never know, Possibly with Processor technology advancing every year they will be able to come out with a processor with the specs you mentioned without having to minimize the shell.

All of the above it just me logically guessing.

But you can always ask your question at AMD Developer's Forum and see if anyone there can answer you question in a more technical way from here: https://community.amd.com/t5/newcomers-start-here/bd-p/newcomer-forum

Its largely ben confirmed by AMD that in regards to AM5/7000 series anyway, the thickness of the IHS was increased in order to maintain Z height compatibility with AM4 Coolers.  Therefore it wouldn't take much re-engineering on AMDs part to produce processors with a thinner IHS without affecting the structural strength, but it would completely screw over ever single AM4 cooler in existence and would mean new coolers required

human hair is 70microns give or take about 20.

latest AMD stuff is 5microns. So intel and nvidia lie and fake their micron count and only measure a tiniest thinnest not really a part of the components and transistor chips. Imagine measuring shoe size by the laces width instead of the entire shoe. theres different parts with different prices and different sizes that have some part of a part thats tiny enough to match the size of AMD's more expensive absurdly higher quality parts entire full size. So umm basically when things shrink down to thin as human hair, we see your number 2B lead pencil tip things like graphene become super strong 2x well maybe 1.6 times tougher than steel while being much less heavy steel itself is up to thousands of times stronger than unprocessed iron ore. both work on the same carbon and trace elements and molecular structures rigidity. So umm the issue here is that carbon fibre and carbon nanotubes are similarly awesome to graphene but better again! .. and lead pencil and graphene and carbon fibre are the exact same lead pencil. Its how thin and small they are and uhh layers or density and weaves. So umm microphysics is almost not like physics that happens at our normal size as you would expect at all!

so while other companies cant shrink past 10microns.. AMD has been hired by them to break the walls of physics as a tech consultant as advanced micro devices had the best physically possible scientific super computing stuff since the 60s in the obvervable universe by observing the universe and mathematically reproducing the uhh universes behaviour. It is literally the best stuff possible ever as far as we mortals understand it or what we perceive.

Once you get smaller down to like 5microns electricity starts to not be able to flow properly and you get sort of cross talk channel noise and any sort of adjacent parts on the board will be like a magnetic push instead of pull and bounce things back or away. So we use different materials and ratios of stuff and techniques in lasering things into the silicone which probably cant be made of silicone at all anymore or very soon because once its too small it cant shrink further with that substance and will need to move to something better suited for optical circuits or smaller than everything else the way light is like DNA based bio computing in a way. only advanced micro devices can do this and has done this and the worlds first 7nm devices for public consumers was say a huawei kirin970 chip or something built with AMDs help. the thing is intel and nvidias not really a computer and suck at maths computation devices are like a alarm clock or a microwave oven timer chip in being more reduced RISC stuff recently as to shrink down they threw away all their pretend to be a computer attempts they used to pretend with in the 90s in the end and used the simplest cheapest part over like 4times bigger surface area.. then invented a pretend you have hardware computery parts but dont and do it all with software CUDA programming to tell the cheap fake slow stuff to behave like its one of the more expensive instantaneous things they couldnt make smaller because they arent advanced micro devices.

But ultimately the things that connect the parts of the CPU's and components together from AMD is INFINITELY fast.. mathematician certified better than almost all true super expensive super computers science fiction nonsense one of the few things known to mankind thats truly infinite. its called infinity fabric.. and that was made infinitely faster again with infinity cache. you have no idea if you ever installed actual computer software on an AMD device how impossibly absurdly better it is than pretend ones that wait 50 years for AMD's left overs to become no copyright and or open source or raid university students homework and whatever free code they can snatch from their bots scanning the web and such. ultimately nvidia and intel arent even pretending to try anymore and are actively sabotaging AMD as much as they can and faking all the benchmarks..

but what this means is do these sensitive thinner more efficient components need way more layers of metal and shielding? YES but once they get small enough that nothing can ever touch them NO! do we have like 50x more layers of stuff over the tiny stuff in AMD? yes! can you delid them yourself YES! can you delid what you delidded and delid that and then delid further? dunno never tried but i suspect as much.

but youre asking for an infinitely fast 0 latency freely syncing better than a super computer but at room temperature countless times more powerful while using absurdly less power enough to do it in mobile phones on a phone battery for days efficient device to become more efficient and faster by thinning down some metal on things so tiny that nobody else can hope to figure out how to do it without hiring them to design their tools and methods to do so which AMD was selling and helping samsung and ARM and other companies with the methods for smaller micron fabrication and honeybee was it called in china? and any company that paid for their business expertise.. its just nvidia cant afford it and they refuse to work with fakes. so they tried to aquire ARM not realising at these micron sizes the cheapness and low powerness and simplicity of alarm clocks and microwave oven chips is useless and loses all meaning as the AMD ones are vastly more efficient and just as low power! so they threw away their pretend computers of the 90s and their pretending to be a pretend computer of the 80's.. and are now using the cheapest sorta old phone or android tablet equivalent of fakest not really a computer RISC stuff.. and it gave them a huge leap in performance just ask apple with their M1 pro macbook. using cheap $5 usb flash drive for your uni assignments chips and pretend its a CPU gave intel and nvidias fake trash the massive upgrades they sorely needed as shown in benchmarks and less power and could finally shrink further!

so while all your software and OS is compiled for the fakest trashiest of trash and cant even use a fraction of the ultimate that is AMD and doesnt come close to approaching the infinitely more its capable of..

what i mean to say is. if youre willing to risk the heat sinks and other things crushing it or possible radio or wifi or some sort of power cables or something too close to it interference in some cases maybe i dont know its just a possibility else they maybe wouldnt lid it like that.. uhh you can always delid and debin it yourself
