Broken ryzen 7600?

Hi,

I recently build a new pc with a ryzen 5 7600, corsair vengance 32 gb ddr5 6000 mt/s and the msi a620 mobo. It all worked for the first few hours but when I tried changing the colors of the ram the pc crashed and I wasn't able to make it post again.

I've tried changing the ram with a new one, tried a new BIOS, even changed the mobo to a brand new rog strix b650 but nothing worked. The debug light on the mobo shows a problem with the CPU and I never get any video output trough my RTX 3080. The GPU is also OK because I've tried it on a friend's pc and it worked just fine.

Did the CPU died because of a iCUE software issue. The problem must be the CPU because all of the other parts are brand new and still doesn't post.

Hi,

I have the same issue and it started somewhere around the time I started playing with the colors of the RAM.

I have a Ryzen 5 7600, Corsair Vengance 32 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s RGB, RX 6800, MSI PRO B650-P WiFi.

The PC will either not POST or will do so after multiple restarts and after 20 min. It will also not come out of "sleep".

My CPU and DRAM lights are on. The mobo was in waranty so I exchanged it, got new RAM again Corsair Vengance 32 GB 6000 MT/s but no RGB this time, but it won't POST again.

Did you figure out your issue?

Open a AMD SUPPORT - Warranty Ticket to see if your processor needs to be RMAed to be checked or replaced from here; https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html

Also open a MSI SUPPORT ticket to see if your motherboard is defective and needs to be checked or replaced.

Another User has a similar issue with the same AMD processor but different MSI Motherboard.

I have already got the motherboard replaced and got a new RAM kit, so I guess my next step is a AMD Support Warranty Ticket.
