Brand new Ryzen 5 5600 has CPB disabled

Upon testing my brand new CPU in a few games, I noticed that the clock speed was locked at 3500mhz. This was a stark contrast to my previous CPU, a Ryzen 3 4350G, which was either locked to its max boost clock when under load (4100mhz) or fluctuating between that and its base clock. Sure enough upon checking in HWINFO, the CPB feature is marked red, meaning supported but not enabled. However, there is no CPB setting in my BIOS (Biostar A320MH) despite the mobo manual saying there should be one. It was initially at the latest BIOS version, and then I tried flashing the first version to support Ryzen 5 CPUs (released March 2022), but still no CPB setting. How can I set this CPU straight? Is it dissatisfied with my cooler? I'm just using the included wraith stealth cooler, but even if it's inadequate I feel like it should at least boost a little, not have CPB disabled altogether. Is there some sort of weird BIOS option or program I can use to enable CPB? I didnt see any such setting in Ryzen Master.

If your brand new Ryzen 5 5600 CPU is not boosting its clock speed and the Core Performance Boost (CPB) feature is disabled, there are a few steps you can take to address the issue. Ensure that you have the latest BIOS version installed, check power and thermal settings in your BIOS and Windows, monitor CPU temperatures, and consider upgrading your CPU cooler if necessary. If the problem persists, reach out to the motherboard manufacturer's support for further assistance. BIOS options and settings can vary, so consulting the motherboard manual and seeking manufacturer support is recommended.

I'm really sorry but that is a bad pairing, that board is a train wreck. I wouldnt even run a 2600X in that let alone a 5600.

The VRM config must be so weak that even if you had PBO enabled it won't boost properly due to power constrains.

 Consider a cheap B550 or a mid tier B450.

Good luck
