Audio stops working after waking from sleep, 5500U with AMD Audio CoProcessor

I have an HP laptop with a 5500U CPU and Windows 10. I have the latest HP, audio, AMD GPU and Chipset drivers installed. After waking from sleep, there is a very high chance of the Windows audio and AMD Audio CoProcessor not working. The CoProcessor will have an exclamation mark next to it in device manager when this happens. Only a full system restart can fix the audio problem.

Now when the coprocessor fails the audio level will not change when changing the volume slider. This happens very often and makes changing volume nearly unusable on this laptop.
