Alright, so I've been searching everywhere about the compatibility of an Athlon 3000g CPU with the ASUS TUF X570 Plus WiFi motherboard. Yes, they both have the AM4 socket, but I've read somewhere that because of the Zen+ architecture of the CPU is not compatible.

This site: https://pangoly.com/en/compatibility/amd-athlon-3000g/motherboard shows the motherboard as compatible, but for some odd reason the ASUS website doesn't have this CPU listed in the "Compatible CPUs", only the ones from the Ryzen family.

So I'm really confused. Are these compatible with each other?

That APU is not supported by your motherboard since it isn't listed. Asus will need to indicate or add a BIOS version that will support the Athlon 3000G.

I went to PCPARTPICKER and under Motherboard Compatibility for the Athlon your motherboard is not listed either. The only Asus X570 Motherboards that are compatible are these: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/?compatible_with=664BD3#m=8&V=8000,6000&s=33&c=138

I used a filter with Asus, WiFi, and X570 Motherboards and the above is what shows.

So if you install that APU on your motherboard either it won't boot up or it won't work correctly if it does boot up. The motherboard needs the correct BIOS installed for the motherboard to recognize and boot up with your APU.

Pangoly is correct and it does not list 3000g as compatible with ASUS TUF X570 Plus WiFi, I don't know where did you get that info.
